The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions...and Wine
Day 1: Today was supposed to be the day we left Calgary for the Far North. We booked a campsite at the Provincial Park in Rocky Mountain House. Shopping was done. Car and Camper were serviced and cleaned. Dog was…well, Kayenne was kinda cranky. She hates it when we are running around ignoring her. The only problem was we were FAR from actually ready to go.
We are planning to be out and about for 4-6 weeks and man, there is just so damned much to do. We had prepped what we could, but life has a way of throwing a few wrenches into the works. As we watched the clock tick by, we hit a point where we had to make a decision: leave tonight and get to the campground around 10pm, tired and needing a shower OR take a shower, grab a bite and sleep one last night in our comfy bed before starting out fresh in the morning. Option two came with Wine!! Okay, who am I kidding — both options had wine ;)
So we are taking the Scarlett O’Hara approach because…”Tomorrow is another day!”
